Job Description:

This position is for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; 8am - 8pm.Coordinate the successful movement of loads as the customer requires by ensuring carrier is tracking for on-time pickup and delivery, tracking loads, performing carrier compliance and assisting in the management of outsourced network of transportation provider partners.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:(The following duties ARE NOT intended to serve as a comprehensive list of all duties performed by all employees in this position, only a representative summary of the primary duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties.Assist in tracking all loads from the point the carrier is contracted through final delivery of the loadCollect, document and disseminate accurate information to/from Carriers and Drivers and between internal departments Dispatch drivers to designated shippers, consignees and intermediate stops if applicable.Document all correspondences, issues and service deviations with carrier/driver and customer in the McLeod as they occur or as the information is receivedIdentify and communicate ways Lipsey Logistics can continuously improve in its operationsAssist in the development of new employeesMaintain proper attendance and punctuality to ensure that the department is operated in an efficient and cost effective manner.Ability to work on a Lipsey site or Lipsey Logistics customer location site while performing the essential functions of this position.Uses, carries and answers their cell phone for business purposes as determined by the assigned job duties and the department headOther duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent. Six months of consistent work experience, preferably in customer focused environment. Transportation experience preferred. Any combination of relevant education, training or experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job will be considered. LICENSING AND CERTIFICATIONS: None. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Positions in this class typically require: fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
