The Supply Planner will perform supply chain planning and buying activities related to the purchase of products from external sources. The procurement plans must meet forecasting and inventory requirements, balance vendor capacities and constraints, and achieve company goals and objectives for financial and service metrics. All activities will be in compliance with cGMP. This 6 month assignment offers flexible hours making it ideal of an Internship or an entry level candidate meeting requirements below. RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare, execute and manage the monthly MRP to achieve inventory goals. Coordinate activities and communication with marketing to adjust plans for changes in actual supply or demand. Analyze inventory to identify excess/obsolete. Manage and maintain the purchase order process for finished goods. Ensure the PO's are open within lead times and escalate any issues with suppliers' order fulfillment to Supplier managers and management. Assure that PO's are appropriate for demand need. Manage API supplier forecasts, inventory and order placement. Obtain inventory report from supply plant and provide updated inventory levels to Finance. Maintenance of JD Edwards's Item Master, as appropriate. Manual inventory adjustments for Samples, DEA and refrigerated products. Provide reports to Finance. Validate Data Warehouse reports for functionality and accuracy Projects as assigned by management. REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma Required. Current enrollment in a 4 year BA/BS degree program with a focus in a Technical, Business or Supply Chain discipline. Completion of Supply Chain focused coursework. CPIM preferred. MRP/ERP systems knowledge a plus. Logistics experience is a plus. JD Edwards knowledge a plus Results and detail-oriented. Strong communicator, both written and verbal. Strong analytical/qualitative skills. Problem-solving skills. Experience with MS Office Suites. Ability to recognize processes and issues requiring attention and notify the team appropriately, in order to take corrective actions. Must live a commutable distance to our Alpharetta, GA Ops Center.
