With JDA, you can plan to deliver. www.jda.comPosition TitleTechnology Presales AdvisorLocationRemote, GlobalOverviewThe Technology Presales Advisor is a critical role that combines the competencies of technology, industry need, customer collaboration, and sales execution.This role provides thought leadership and works with internal and external executives and their teams to align Customer technology and digital transformation journey with JDA's vision. You will be the primary facilitator of strategic technology messaging and will be looked to as a key voice in articulating JDA's Supply Chain Platform vision and how it will provide value to customers in their transformation.This role will be responsible for positioning JDA innovation including SaaS, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and other advanced platform capabilities. An understanding of JDA's product portfolio is helpful, as is cross-industry exposure to Retail, Manufacturing, Consumer Products, Wholesale Distribution, and Third-party logistics. You must articulate the value of conceptual and logical technology architecture, including messaging, integration, and automation with AI and ML. You will empower organizations to leverage the latest technologies to support business transformations.The Technology Presales Advisor will work closely with a global team of peers, and interface with Product Management and Engineering to share field expertise and customer feedback. Routine tasks will include discovery sessions with customers, strategic planning with virtual JDA teams, and presentation workshops and demonstrations to a variety of customer audiences, including executive and technical groups. This role requires strategic thinking, collaboration, and critical thinking.Responsibilities* Understand and articulate the end-to-end business process and value chain across consumer industries* Understand and articulate a point of view on the recent industry trends, like customer-centricity, big data, mobility, IoT and machine learning.* In collaboration with the Industry or the Strategic Services teams, engage with executives and their teams at strategic prospect companies to understand industry- and company-specific processes and objectives* Link the issues experienced by the customers with their potential root causes* Map the customer issues (both business and technology) to specific end-to-end technology solution enablers and suggest a recommended customer journey* Work with the Value Discovery teams to quantify the business impacts of issues and develop a value proposition for the recommended solution and deployment roadmap* Present a clear, concise and compelling argument to differentiate JDA offerings with proof points including value, process enablement, and software demonstrations* Understand and maintain knowledge of competitor strengths and weaknesses* Articulate the value of orchestrating JDA solution components within a solution platform including JDA technology partners* Assist Customer Executive in educating prospects and creating compelling business cases* Periodically function as a Solution Captain, managing a virtual account team to engage necessary resources across different teams in a choreographed and impactful mannerRequired Skills* Awareness and understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes* Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to create and deliver formal business presentations. Proven ability to engage on a peer-to-peer level with C-level executives at Fortune 100 companies* Hands-on technology experience* Consultative and value-based solution selling expertise with proven leadership in large deals* Articulate technical acumen in Machine Learning, Native SaaS, Public Cloud, and other platform technologies* Outstanding interpersonal skills with ability to establish good relationships with key contacts at prospect, customer and partner organizations* Strong leadership skills; ability to manage cross-functional team and work with senior management* Ability to benchmark customers for supply chain best practices, innovation and business results* Action oriented, "Can do" attitude with proven ability to support complex sales with large accounts with value focus* Five+ years of business experience in enterprise technology presales* Experience with JDA applications preferred* This role requires periodic global travelPersonal Profile:* Motivated, confident, self-sufficient and able to contribute from day one* Proven focus in continued learning and wide array of interests* Focused and determined* Well organized and consistently meets commitments* Well-developed interpersonal and communication, problem solving, diplomacy and influencing skillsOur ValuesIf you want to know the heart of a company, take a look at their values.
